Finding Castor
You’ll find Castor nestled in it's own private field surrounded by woodland with expansive views through the trees. Parking is situated off the road and then its a 350m walk through a couple of fields to the shack (remember to shut the gate behind you!)
Light the wood burner during the winter or relax in our outdoor chairs during the summer. Castor comes with a decking, perfect for sipping drinks on during the summer.
Castor is on a working farm, very occasionally you’ll see the local farmer harvesting crops or herding livestock.

The nearest station: Abergele, it's a 15-minute taxi from there.

From Castor there is a 10 min drive in to the small town of Abergele which has a lovely selection of traditional pubs and cosy cafes. If you prefer to walk it will take you around 50 minutes to get into the town, you'll be able to enjoy the fantastic Welsh countryside full of green hills and grazing sheep.

You can choose the early check-in option at check out for an extra £25, then you can arrive any time after 1pm.

They have a great menu of mains, small plates and desserts, they even do cocktails if you fancy treating yourself!
The Harp Inn is a traditional pub very popular with the locals. Get yourself some hearty pub food and enjoy the heated beer garden. Dogs are welcome here too.
Pensarn Beach here you can enjoy the promenade with its cafes, shops and game arcade or take yourself off to a more secluded part of the beach. It goes on for miles!

Gwrych Castle has 250acres of garden and grounds is well worth a visit. Explore the amazing history of this castle where they also filmed "I'm a celebrity..get me out of here" during covid. Dogs are welcome here on the lead.
Gwinllan Conwy Vineyard go for a tour and tasting at this Welsh vineyard. There are different options for tours, our favourite is the one including the charcuterie and cheese board at the end!
Bodnant Garden have a stroll around these beautiful gardens, part of the National Trust and home to historic plant collections.
Zip World looking for something a little bit more adventurous, at Zip World they have plenty of activities for you to try including zip-lining and underground golf.
