Yes, of course All our shacks are pet-friendly, and we charge a flat £35 fee regardless of whether you bring one or more dogs. Just select the pet option at check out, and you can bring the whole gang with you!
Most of our shacks sleep three (two adults and an infant). However, we do have some with bunk beds and king-sized beds, so you can bring the kids with you. Time spent in the countryside learning about off-grid living is invaluable for children.
Living off-grid means there is no grid connection, and we rely on solar power, composting toilets, and sustainable living. That doesn’t mean you forego luxury; we have carefully curated our shacks so you have a hotel-quality experience in the wilderness.
For most locations, check-in is at 3 p.m., and check-out is at 10 a.m. However, keep an eye out at check-out for the option of an early check-in or check-out, as it is available at some locations.
Never as much as you think. This is a stripped-back holiday where the elements set the stage. Just make sure you have packed for the season you are holidaying in. We provide linen, towels, bath mats, hand towels, kitchen utensils, olive oil, salt, pepper, coffee, and tea.
Yes, we provide everything you need, bed linen, blankets, towels, hand towels and bath mats.
There is usually a signal, but many of our locations are rural, so it’s best to prepare for limited connectivity.
All our bathrooms have high-quality showers and composting toilets. Our shacks are handcrafted and sustainable, which means we use composting toilets. They are similar to yours at home, just without the flush.
All our shacks are stocked with every utensil you’ll need to cook up a storm. Inside, you’ll find a 2-burner gas stove, mini-fridge, knives, a wooden spoon, a can opener, cutlery, plates/bowls, a stovetop kettle, a saucepan, oil, salt, and pepper. We also provide organic washing up liquid, cloths, and tea towels.
All our shacks have a mini compressor fridge, similar to what you’d find in a campervan. As we are off-grid and reliant on solar power, we have to limit our power consumption, which means we limit the size of the fridge too.
