Our ten beliefs

View all

#1 Look up.

Off-grid shacks strip away the distractions of modern life, allowing us to reconnect with the natural rhythms of sunrise, sunset, and the changing seasons.

#2 Reconnect with natures rhythms.

Reconnect with natures rhythms. Life evolved in 24-hour days, against the backdrop of sunrises and sunsets. Humans (and almost all plants, trees, animals and microorganisms) have an internal, 24-hour circadian…

#3 Embrace the art of disconnection.

In a hyper-connected world, disconnecting from technology is a radical act of self-care. shacks offer a sanctuary for digital detox and mindful presence.

#4 Rediscover the power of silence.

Away from the constant noise and demands of daily life, silence becomes a source of clarity, inspiration, and inner peace.

#5 Foster meaningful connections.

Shared experiences in nature forge deep bonds with loved ones. Shacks become spaces for intimate conversations, shared meals, and lasting memories.

#6 Unleash creativity and imagination.

Simplicity fosters creativity. Without distractions, the mind is free to wander, explore new ideas, and tap into a wellspring of inspiration.

#7 Embrace the beauty of imperfection.

Off-grid living is about embracing the raw, unfiltered beauty of nature. It’s about finding joy in simplicity and appreciating the imperfections that make each shack unique.

#8 Live with intention.

Shack life encourages us to live with greater intention- ality. We become more mindful of our consumption, our impact on the environment, and what truly matters in life.

#9 Find freedom in simplicity.

By shedding material possessions and embracing a simpler way of life, we discover a profound sense of freedom and contentment.

#10 Return to the wild within.

Nature is a powerful mirror. Time spent in the wilder- ness allows us to reconnect with our own wildness, intuition, and innate wisdom.

We honestly loved all of it. The surroundings were just beautiful, we loved watching the partridges whilst having a lazy morning. I loved the cassette tapes, the coffee and mostly the fire. We walked along the river to Llangollen which was beautiful.
