Atlas is tucked away in the heart of Eryri/Snowdonia, where quiet country lanes lead to mountain adventures, cosy village spots and some of North Wales’ best-kept gems. It’s the kind of place where your plans can be as ambitious as a day in the mountains, or as simple as wandering down to Tu Hwnt I'r Bont for a Welsh tea and a slice of something homemade.

With the wild landscapes of Snowdonia on your doorstep, days here are made for muddy boots, winding trails and seeing where the road takes you. But Atlas is just as good at keeping you close to home. Come back after a day exploring, fill the outdoor bath, pour a drink and settle into the Shack as the evening closes in. A little wild, a little cosy, and very easy to fall in love with.

Stay local

In under ten minutes by car—or a scenic walk if you’re feeling adventurous—you’ll reach Betws-y-Coed, where you’ll find plenty of cosy pubs and restaurants. Treat yourself to hearty Welsh dishes at the Royal Oak, grab a table at Olif for local flavours with a modern twist, or stock up on fresh produce and artisan treats at the village’s delis if you’d rather cook and dine with a view back at the cabin.

Beyond food and drink, Betws-y-Coed is a gateway to adventure. You can follow woodland trails to the Swallow Falls waterfall, paddle in the River Conwy, or cycle the winding mountain lanes. Thrill-seekers can try zip-lining, canyoning, or mountain biking at nearby adventure hubs, while hikers are spoilt for choice with countless trails leading into Snowdonia National Park. For something slower, explore craft shops, art galleries, and historic bridges in the village, or take a steam train ride from Llanrwst to soak in the scenery at a gentler pace.
