Escape to our newest shack, Adhara, enveloped by woodland in the Cheshire countryside. This shack really is a hidden gem, only to be found by those of you who have the directions. Yet just outside of your own little 'nature bubble', there are lovely pubs and adventures within walking distance. A little further, Delamere Forest, Beeston Castle and the stretch of the Sandstone Trail from Manley Common to Gresty's Waste are some of our favourites. Adhara is perfect for couples wanting to spend quality time together, friends wanting to explore the area, or solo trips to rest and recharge.

Finding Adhara


You’ll find Adhara hidden away within a clearing of trees, about 150m from a farm track.

Adhara is a short drive away from the popular town of Tarporley where you'll find lots of lovely coffee shops, bakeries, convenience stores and shops to browse in.

If you're looking for somewhere local to eat, The Nags Head, a quintessential English pub serving up a great brunch or hearty meal (dog friendly too) is a short 15 min walk away. And The Yew Tree Inn, a 19th century inn serving the best of British meals, and local ales (also dog friendly) is a little further.

How do you get to Adhara?
You can travel to Adhara by car or public transport. After your booking, our helpful welcome guide will explain both in more detail.

Once you've arrived, the walk to Adhara is about 100 meters. Remember to shut the gates behind you! 🐑

Check-in is at 3pm
Check-out is at 10am
Is there a toilet and shower?
Every shack has an eco-composting toilet and a hot shower. We also provide eco-friendly toiletries, luxury towels, hand towels, and shower mats.
Is Adhara pet friendly?
All our shacks are pet-friendly, and we charge a flat £35 fee regardless of whether you bring one or more dogs. Just select the pet option at check out, and you can bring your whole gang with you!

Cats are also welcome too 🐈
Is there firewood included?
Yes, we supply a big bag of kindling and a big bag of logs. There is plenty for your stay. However, if you think you will be spending a lot of time by the fire pit, then you can purchase unlimited firewood at check-out for £20.
Where is best for food and drink?

Lockgate coffee house sitting right on the Shropshire Canal, here you can enjoy a lovely breakfast or lunch. These guys only uses local suppliers too, even better! LCH is a 9min drive away from Adhara.

The Nags Head at Haughton is only a 20min walk from the shack. Have a drink in the beautiful beer garden, always full of flowers in the summer! The food is brilliant here as well!

The Yew Tree from the shack you'll get here after a 45min walk down the country lanes. This is a fantastic pub with a great selection of local real ales and draught lagers. If you fancy some classic pub food this is also the place to go.

What to do in the local area?

Land Rover Experience go for an off-road drive through the beautiful grounds of Peckforton Castle. You can book a half or a full day, or why not go for a one hour taster session. Located just a 15min drive from your shack.

Wild Shore Delamere close to Delamere Forest (which is great for walking) we've got Wild Shore. Here you can try out the aqua park, wakeboarding, SUP or just go for a swim.
