Llangollen itself
- Castell Dinas Brân – dramatic medieval castle ruins on a hilltop above the town; a steep walk up, but the views over the Dee Valley are worth it.
- Pontcysyllte Aqueduct – UNESCO World Heritage Site, an extraordinary Victorian canal aqueduct you can walk or take a boat across.
- Llangollen Canal & Horseshoe Falls – gentle towpath walk from town out to the falls, or take a horse-drawn boat trip.
- Llangollen Railway – heritage steam trains running through the Dee Valley from the town's restored station.
- Plas Newydd – atmospheric Gothic house, former home of the "Ladies of Llangollen."
- Valle Crucis Abbey – peaceful ruined Cistercian abbey just outside town.
- Horseshoe Pass – dramatic mountain road with sweeping views, a classic Welsh scenic drive.
