“Three days spent in blissful peace, star gazing after a long day of hiking in the Welsh hills...Just the thing! Location very easy to reach. Thestylish cabin, affording stunning views.”

We honestly loved all of it. The surroundings were just beautiful, we loved watching the partridges whilst having a lazy morning. I loved the cassette tapes, the coffee and mostly the fire. We walked along the river to Llangollen which was beautiful.

We’ve wanted to stay in a secluded cabin for years and Tawny didn't disappoint. We loved sitting and reading with freshly ground coffee next to the huge window during the day and a glass of wine by the fire in the evenings. Beautifully private whilst also being just a 10 minute drive from good food and coffee in Tarporley. We'll be back!

We absolutely loved every minute just spent in the shack - that was probably our favourite part of the trip. It was so cosy with the storms we had and the fire keeping us warm.
We want to also note that we tend to go on cabin trips about once a year, and this cabin was by far the best we’ve experienced. It had everything we needed, plus the instruction’s, the app, the facilities, and the comfort, even down to the bedding and leaving out wellies was such a great touch!
We made a trip to the pistyll rhaeadr waterfall which was very special as my boyfriend proposed! So the trip was just extra special and unforgettable in many ways!
We also hiked up the Castell Dinas bran which was incredible.
Loved the corn mill pub- amazing food.
All in all it just went too quickly! But loved every minute and really hope to visit another shack soon! We have a baby on the way so the fact you have shacks with kids bunk beds is brilliant!

Thanks again 🤗

For us we just moved the whole being in a field in the Shack, being off grid and just stopping! The shack was so well equipped, and we christened the wood burner on a wet day, and it was really cosy. We loved being woken up by the sheep clip clopping over the decking each morning and then rubbing themselves against the gladding making the Shack vibrate! 😂We had some great walks down into Llangollen and around the area. We loved eating outside by the fire pit. The whole experience was brilliant!

Simply idyllic! It truly is an escape from the world, but with all the creature comforts that this type of retreat is usually lacking. Can’t wait to book our next stay.

It was fab, super beautiful 10/10. We noticed Compost loo could get a bit fousty when we were out all day so maybe some additional air freshener/spray for the bathroom, but that was minor.
Have a lovely time and super quick problem solving from the team when the gas ran out - fixed within 30 mins.

We had a fantastic stay, perfect and want to rebook.
Very small points of improvement, nit picking really- fix the gate to carpark, maybe attach a small sign on gate signifying Altair. Solid cafetière instead as well of coffee mug filter. Otherwise all was brill!
Get one in the Peak District/Derbyshire, it would do very well!

We had a fantastic stay at Alcor Cabin. The facilities were excellent, providing everything we needed for a comfortable off-grid experience. It was the perfect getaway, allowing us to fully disconnect while still enjoying all the comforts of home. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy some peace and tranquility in a beautiful, secluded setting

Good morning

Thank you so much. I really enjoyed my stay at Altair. It was more than I expected, and I didn't want to leave 😇. The views and serenity gave me peace of mind. I really enjoyed spending my birthday at your place. Will do it again soon

We came with our two children (10 years old & 7 years old) and all thoroughly enjoyed it. The kids really loved their bunks whilst I adored sitting on the bed & watching the world go by. The setting was beautiful and the expansive space meant the kids could play & be noisy without having to be mindful of any neighbours close by. We enjoyed roasting marshmallows over the fire pit & really appreciated the thoughtfulness of the wheelbarrow to help get our bags up the hill. The only thing I can think of that would have improved our stay was if there were hooks somewhere to hang up damp towels & jackets.

The stay at Adhara was amazing! It felt so private and was perfect for the dogs. The shack had everything we needed and we loved the comfy bed and the blackout blinds. Never slept so well! We will definitely book with Shacks again.

We loved our stay in the Hydra cabin, everything was perfect, the walk to the cabin from the car in a field with sheep, to the silence of the night with a nice warm fire.
Location was really good and we had rainy nice weather which helped to. Would definitely do this again,

Incredible location, unspoilt views, fabulous ‘shack’. So peaceful & tranquil… couldn’t have wanted more.

Will most definitely try other locations!

What a magical place.
We arrived in a snow storm, luckily the directions were clear with the help of what.three.words, as you couldn’t see ten foot in front of you, so finding it was no problem.
The hut was so cosy and well stocked, the bed was incredible, and when the fire was lit, it was beautifully toasty. I’d suggest paying for the unlimited wood option.
We woke up the next morning to a snow covered valley, and with the giant windows, we enjoyed a coffee and took in the incredible views before wrapping up and going out.
My gf is from Brazil and had never seen snow before, so it got emotional; I hope if you book it you get lucky with some snow!
It was an incredible stay, to be so separated from civilisation, standing on top of your own mountain, enjoying that restorative Welsh air with only the sound of the wind, a truly memorable experience, an exceptionally rare experience!
We’ll be back, this time in summer for a different perspective.

My stay was perfect! The shack was very well designed and thought out. If you are looking to get away from the busy 9-5 and reconnect to nature through camping but in a more luxurious way then I highly recommend.

A beautiful peaceful off grid cabin in a great area, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and the chance to completely unwind away from the world 😊

Had a blissful stay at Vega above Llangollen mid March. I really needed a break from everything and it delivered - I didn't see a soul other than rabbits or pheasants for the week! The weather was gorgeous, but still early in the year so chilly at night - not a problem at Vega with lots of wood for the stove and a massive cosy bed to curl up in at night.
The view at sunrise and sunset has to be seen to be believed. As a hobby photographer I was outside with my camera constantly! Such a beautiful, peaceful place. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Our stay at Altair was exactly what we needed. Off grid, in nature, to connect as a family. We spent the 3 days together playing games, exploring outside, and eating more marshmallows on the campfire that we really should have!

The highlight for our 2 girls (aged 8 & 10) were the bed boxes! They absolutely loved these little hiding holes. The girls didn’t want to come home, and we could have stayed longer too.

The shack has been well thought about, it’s clean, tidy and the little details like the coffee grinder added to the stay. We decided not to shut the blinds at bedtime so we could wake up to an early sunrise and it was beautiful.

The local recommendations were spot on. Being owners of a tapas restaurant we were thrilled to try their tapas recommendation and it didn’t disappoint. The market on Wednesday was also great for a wander and we picked up a few bits to eat.

I’d highly recommend shacks for an off grid, back to nature stay. My husband is always on the go, yes he slowed down and did 3 jigsaws in a 3 day trip!

My only teeny tiny bit of constructive feedback is for 4 people staying, to have 4 bath towels - we were provided with 2 & shared them with the kids, which really wasn’t a problem but having one each would be a nice little touch.

Thanks for creating these spaces, they are needed.

Of and one last thing… my kids were in awe of the cassette player! They had no idea what it was at first and we loved sitting and listening to the music together.
